ORDEA helps facilities and parents organise meals. Depending on your arrangement, you can order or cancel meals and review your account.
Your facility provides access to the platform and explains how to use it.
Explore the ORDEA platform →Has a child who previously enjoyed trying new dishes suddenly refused an unfamiliar food? This may be food neophobia: reluctance to try foods that are new or look different. It is often strongest in early childhood, usually between ages two and five, although it can last longer.
This is often a natural stage of development. A new taste, smell, colour or presentation can make a child cautious. It should not be treated as disobedience. Pressure at the table can increase resistance.
Some children need many calm encounters with a food before accepting it. Be patient and keep a variety of foods available. If a child’s diet becomes very limited or you are concerned about their development, discuss it with a paediatrician or children’s dietitian.
