ORDEA helps facilities and parents organise meals. Depending on your arrangement, you can order or cancel meals and review your account.
Your facility provides access to the platform and explains how to use it.
Explore the ORDEA platform →Meat, grains, vegetables and fruit bring different nutrients to a meal. Vegetables and fruit also vary among themselves. Their colour can hint at the natural pigments and other compounds they contain. That is why it is worth offering children foods of different colours instead of sticking to just a few favourites.
Add green cucumber, broccoli or lettuce to a red tomato. Purple cabbage can go well with orange carrots. Every meal need not look like a rainbow; variety across the day and week is what matters.
Vegetables and fruit provide fibre, vitamins and minerals, among other things. The value of a whole meal also depends on grains, protein sources and fats. Choose seasonal produce when available and serve it in different ways: raw, cooked, roasted or in soup.
If a child does not want to try a new vegetable straight away, give them time. Offering it calmly and repeatedly helps them become familiar with new flavours without pressure.
